COVID-19 Policy

We aim to have a safe workshop for working members, staff and visitors.

We have the QR code on the door. Please wear masks unless exempt, sanitise hands and observe two metres social distancing.

1) In the event of any member or workshop visitor testing positive for Covid 19, please inform the technicians asap.

2) Those who were in during the previous fourteen days (when the infection would have been contagious) will be contacted by one of the technicians, and asked to have a ‘lateral flow test’ or ‘PCR test’ at one of the many local walk in and drive in centres.

3) They will be asked to report the results to OPC (technicians). All necessary measures will be taken to stop the spread, including closing the workshop temporally and sanitizing all surfaces, until we are sure that there is no risk of the virus being passed on through workshop use. If there is any risk of Covid at the workshop we will notify the membership and any visitors that there has been a covid positive incident.

All information is confidential.

Lateral Flow test kits are widely available free from chemists, supermarkets and online. There are usually seven tests in a box. All the membership are encouraged to have a lateral flow test if they feel at all unwell, and not to come back in unless they have a negative result. You can always take the test just to check as well regardless of whether you have symptoms. If you do have a positive lateral flow result, you can always have a PCR test to confirm the results.
